Grant ready to visit Nebraska

Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson defensive end Patrick Grant already has made one official visit to a Big 12 school and will make another this weekend when he heads to Lincoln, Neb., to check out the Cornhuskers.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Grant is looking forward to his trip.

"My recruiter for Nebraska is John Blake," Grant said. "He is a very outgoing guy. They play Texas, so that's going to be a big game right there."
What will Grant be looking for on his trip to Lincoln?
"I just want to have fun and meet the people and see how I feel around the team," he said. "They have a good history of coaching. He was telling me about the national titles, but I was a little guy."
Grant also added that he was going to visit North Carolina State on the weekend of Nov. 24. The Pack, Buffalos and Cornhuskers all are in the mix to land Grant, who has no leader.
"I'm just trying to figure this thing out," he said. "It's not easy. I'm looking for a team that knows how to have fun but also when to be serious and the coaching staff and how they function.
"Also the players too, that's a big factor. When we went to Colorado, we got to stay in the hotel and eat the pregame meal with the team, so that was real nice."
Grant is a three-star rated prospect and is ranked No. 94 in the Rivals.com Florida Top 100. He was a third-team all-state selection his junior year and also runs track.
