Grant's host at Ohio State was Brandon Smith.
"Everybody seemed real cool," Grant said. "My host was real cool. The coaches were cool, coach Fickell and the rest of them."
In addition to the people, Grant found other things to his liking at Ohio State.
"Columbus is not a real busy town like San Francisco," he said. "It seemed like the area around the school was nice."
When asked what is next, Grant said, "I visit Oregon next weekend. Ohio State is my favorite, but I have to take my other visit. I'll announce my decision on signing day. It's down to Oregon and Ohio State."
Grant, who originally committed to Florida, also visited Texas A&M and Tennessee.
The 6-foot-2 and 220-pound Grant, a four star prospect, has graduated from City College of San Francisco. He made 85 tackles including six sacks this season for City College of S.F. Grant also intercepted six passes and blocked six punts. Grant played both inside and outside linebacker.
