Goss locks in final three official visits; he's down to five

Chad Simmons is a Recruiting Analyst for Rivals.com. He was the expert on The Next Class on Fox Sports South from 2011-2015. He currently covers Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi.

Auburn and Michigan received official visits from Jalen Goss in December and the Tigers and Wolverines have made his final five.

The 6-foot-6, 270 pound offensive tackle out of Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes picked up an offer from Florida State Wednesday night and the Seminoles instantly moved up his list.

Goss has scheduled an official visit to Tallahassee for the January 19.

The final two schools in the running are Mississippi State and Miami. He will visit Starkville this weekend and then head to Coral Gables January 26.

The three-star lineman does not know when he will make his decision, but it will be after his fifth official visit.
