Gophers land Ohio DB Williams

Akron (Ohio) Buchtel defensive back Bryan Williams committed to Pitt during the summer. However when Walt Harris left for Stanford Williams opened the recruiting process back up and made official visits to Minnesota, Kansas, and Pitt.
The recruiting process is once again closed as Williams has decided to play his college football in the Big Ten.

"I like the Big Ten. And I like Minnesota's academics. And I'll have the opportunity to start when I get there. My parents like Minnesota too.
"I'll be a cornerback at Minnesota."
The 5-foot-10 and 185 pound Williams intercepted five passes and rushed for 1900 yards during his senior season. Williams is the No. 45 defensive back prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 24 prospect in the state of Ohio.
