Gophers dig out Texas commit
Dallas Wilmer Hutchins receiver John Scroggins wasn’t a household name with Texas recruiting fans, but it’s about to become a household name with some Big 10 fans. That’s because the big 6-foot-4, 205-pound receiver has made his commitment.
“I’m heading to the Big 10,” Scroggins said. “I’m committed to Minnesota for now.”

Scroggins picked the Gophers over an offer from SMU.
You notice how Scroggins said he’s committed for now. That’s because he still plans on taking visits to SMU, Texas Tech and Purdue the next three weekends.
Scroggins had 23 receptions for 318 yards and four touchdowns.
His teammate Jeremy Wilson (6-1, 270) has committed to Sam Houston State.
