Gophers, Cards, Rebs on DTs list

Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside defensive tackle Reginald Thomas says he’s keeping an “open” approach to his recruitment at this stage in the season.
“I’ve got three offers – Minnesota, Louisville and Ole Miss,” he said. “So those are the main three right now. But I’d like to stay closer to home if I could.

“I’m not ready to name a favorite or anything.”
Thomas (6-1, 285, 4.9) reportedly had an offer from Auburn earlier this summer, but says that was not accurate.
“I like them a lot. That would be nice, but they’ve kind of slipped off a little bit,” he said. “They still call me every now and then, but not as much as the other schools.”
Thomas says he’ll likely take official visits to Auburn and Ole Miss. Louisville is possible.
He’s yet to take any unofficial visits due to taking SAT prep classes on Saturdays.
“I just took my test, and I think I did real well on it, so hopefully that’s the last time I’ll have to go do that,” he said. “I’m going to try and go to a few games if I have time.”
Thomas said he carries a 3.0 core GPA, so getting qualified won’t be too difficult.
Through six games this season, he’s recorded 43 tackles, seven tackles for loss and four sacks.
