Goodson decides
The story finally came to an end for Rivals100 running back Michael Goodson as Sunday night he and his father sat down to make the final decision on his college choice.
The 6-foot, 205-pound prospect had hauled in several offers but had been debating between two schools: Texas A&M and Southern Cal. Since his de-commitment from Oklahoma State, the Goodson story has evolved into a bigger event and that finally came to a close after a long meeting with his family.

"I'm going to Texas A&M," Goodson said. "I kind of waited it out for a while trying to decide. I love USC, but it was just having your friends and family being able to see you, you can't replace that. If USC was around the corner, then it might be them. That just isn't the case."
According to Goodson, another factor in his decision was playing time.
"I think it is a factor and it has to be," Goodson said. "I think I can play anywhere, but I can start my own legacy at A&M."
The process to coming to this decision has not been an easy one for the No. 5 rated prospect in the state of Texas.
"We sat down and talked about it last night, wrote some things down on both schools, and after we got done, we just figured A&M was the best place for me," Goodson said. "Playing at USC would have been great, but with the success they've had, you'll always be in that shadow."
"The coaches were also great. The way they treat you when you come down, it's like you're already an Aggie."
Goodson says that going through the process, he has one thing he would like to tell the upcoming players who will go down the same road of picking a college.
"I'd say get it over with quick," he said. "Its fun at first and then it gets stressful. It's a big relief now that it's all done. I'm going to just sit back and relax."
Goodson is rated as the No. 32 overall player and the No. 4 running back in the country.
