Golden talks about ASU visit

Fresno (Calif.) Edison defensive back Robert Golden took his second official visit of the year this past weekend to Arizona State. The former Arizona commitment had earlier visited Oregon and compared the two trips.
Golden, 5-11, 170 pounds has had an eventful past week or so. As has been well documented already, the elite corner committed way back in the summer to Arizona, said he still planned to take official visits, then backed off his commitment completely last week.

Golden was in Tempe this past weekend and said he loved what the Sun Devils have to offer.
"It was a really good visit, I'm glad I made it out for it," Golden said. "I had talked about visiting a few weeks ago but this week just worked out better for me. Everything was real nice and there was nothing I didn't like about it.
"The game itself was great and I was very impressed with both the team, the fan support and atmosphere there. Coach Erickson was really fired up after the game and he was fun to be around.
"I also loved the city of Tempe itself. It's a total college town and that's what I'm looking for. The school is huge and there is always a lot going on. I definitely have a high interest in ASU right now.
"As for how it compares with Oregon, I would still have a give just a slight edge to Oregon because the weather was a little better for me and I just felt more comfortable in the environment at Oregon but I still really liked it a lot at ASU and I'm giving them a long look."
Golden set up a visit to Arizona this coming weekend over a month ago but said at this point, he's not sure if he's going to take it or not.
"I"m still not sure, it's up in the air," Golden said. "I'll figure that out in the next couple of days here."
