Position: Linebacker
Size and Speed: Tremblay stands 6-foot-4, weighs 230 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds. Tremblay benches 300 pounds and cleans 245 pounds. Just a side note; Tremblay’s dad stands 6-foot-6 so the odds are he could grow more.
Statistics: Tremblay accounted for approximately 100 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, four passes deflected, four fumbles caused, three fumble recoveries, and one blocked punt.
Honors: Tremblay was selected all-league as a junior.
Favorite Schools: Colorado and Cal have already offered this talented linebacker a scholarship. Tremblay attended junior day at USC. According to Palm Desert head coach Pat Blackburn; Tremblay is Notre Dame’s number one middle linebacker prospect.
The Skinny: Tremblay is taller and faster than his older brother, linebacker Brian Tremblay who plays for Cal.
Tremblay is a tall kid but he plays low to the ground and is exceptional when he takes on blocks. “Garrett is outstanding at shedding blocks and making plays,” Blackburn said. “He has excellent range and makes plays sideline-to-sideline.” Tremblay has an excellent motor and it never stops.
Tremblay has tremendous potential and could still be growing. If he continues to grow Tremblay may end up as a rush end on the collegiate level…
