Adrian Golden is one of the best kept secrets from the Sunshine State. He's also one of the state's most dynamic running backs. Golden, 5-9 and 183 pounds, rushed for a Pasco County single season rushing record 2,514 yards and 34 touchdowns last season as a junior. He's explosive and quick and has great balance and vision.
"I run with determination and I work hard," Golden said. "My strength is my lower body. I can run with power and I have very good speed and vision."
At this time Golden doesn't have any scholarship but there are certainly plenty of teams that are waiting to see what happens with him in the classroom.
"Florida, Miami, Alabama, Southern Miss, Iowa State and Bowling Green are some of the schools recruiting me. I just have to get my academics straightened up and hope to get some offers."
From that group Golden as one leader.
"You could say that I am open. But the school I really want to go to is Alabama. They are a running team and they do have some smaller backs that excel. Alabama also sends running backs to the NFL. I really like them a lot.
Golden says he hopes to camp this summer at Florida, Iowa State, and Alabama.
