Gold going back to Northwestern

The plot has thickened for one of the top running backs in the state of Texas. After almost committing to Oklahoma State on several occasions, it looks like Irving, Texas, running back Greg Gold might be looking another direction now.
"He's now leaning back to Northwestern," Diana Gold, the mother of the talented back.

"He's thinking about going back with his commitment that he made to Northwestern originally."
Gold has been one of the wildest recruiting stories in the state of Texas for the Class of 2002.
After committing to Northwestern earlier this summer, Gold opened things back up and almost pulled the trigger with Oklahoma State.
He even said there was about a 99 percent chance that he would end up a Cowboy. And some media outlets even reported that he was committed. However, that looks to be turning around 180 degrees now.
Gold is set to visit Northwestern on Jan. 11 for an official visit. It's unclear where this story will turn next - but that's what happens when you're one of the better backs in Texas.
