Goins has three favorites

Running back Kenneth Goins of Baltimore (Md.) Gilman School has taken the slow road with his recruiting process, but has recently named three favorites. He also plans on visiting each of these three schools before making a final decision.
"Recruiting has been going pretty well, I'd say," said Goins, who is 5-foot-9 and 210-pounds.

Already holding offers from Georgia Tech, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and East Carolina, Goins has let his coaches handle his recruiting process recently.
"I'm not too sure about new offers as of right now," said Goins. "My coaches have all of the info on that."
While he may not be informed about any new offers, he has noticed a few schools showing more serious interest.
"West Virginia, Rutgers, Iowa, Wake Forest, Connecticut and a few others," said Goins. "I can't really remember all of the names at the moment."
Up next for Goins is a trio of unofficial visits.
"I haven't taken any visits recently, but I plan to take some after school is over," said Goins. "I'd definitely like to visit Penn State, West Virginia and Georgia Tech. Those are my three favorites right now."
Goins also seems to be pretty open-minded about the timing of his final decision.
"I want to decide before the season begins, but if not, then after the season is over is good too," said Goins.
Finally, Goins discussed his preparation for his senior season at Gilman.
"It's going pretty well," he said. "I've just been working out and conditioning. I want this to be my best year. I want to improve my overall game. I don't feel as though there is just one thing I can improve on."
