Goins close to being an Aggie

Freeport (Texas) Brazosport linebacker Kedric Goins took his first official visit of the season this weekend with a trip to College Station.
"My visit to Texas A&M was fun," the 6-foot, 205-pound Goins said. "I had been to College Station before and had looked around a little. But, this visit took it to the next step. They showed me all around the campus and the school and everything."

Goins said the people associated with Texas A&M really left an impression on him.
"The people really stuck out in my mind after I got home," he said. "They really are nice. They treat you really well and make sure everything is going alright for you. I won't ever forget that."
Goins met a lot of the players and coaches while on his visit and even hung out with some other recruits.
"The players were great," he said. "They were there to answer questions if we had them. The coaches were fabulous about having things lined up for us to do. The other recruits were having a good time too. I don't remember their names, but two committed while we were there."
Despite the good time, Goins isn't ready to commit to the Aggies just yet.
"I still think pretty highly of A&M," he said. "I think I might commit to A&M, but I want to visit Northwestern and see what else is there. As of now, though, A&M is right at the top."
