Sanford (N.C.) Lee County tight end Dennis Godfrey made an official visit to Wake Forest during the weekend.
"It went well," Godfrey said. "I enjoyed it. I enjoyed being on campus."

Godfrey has been committed to Wake Forest since the summer and remains so, but he did not cancel official visits to Clemson (Jan. 13), South Carolina (Jan. 15), Virginia (Jan. 20) and Virginia Tech (Jan. 27).
Those four schools got involved with the 6-foot-2, 260-pounder following his performance at the Shine Bowl of the Carolinas in December.
He talked about the loyalty that the Wake program had shown him during an injury he suffered in high school. While other schools did not recruit him, the Deacons continued to pursue him and make him feel wanted.
"They were right there by my side," he said.
Godfrey also met with Demon Deacons head coach Jim Grobe.
"We talked about me playing tight end," Godfrey said. "And how I could impact the program."
Godfrey also met with tight ends coach Tom Elrod.
At this point, Godfrey says he will cement his plans after making all five of his official visits.
