Godchaux has big summer plans

Plaquemine (La.) Rivals250 defensive end Davon Godchaux continued his strong spring with an impressive performance in Chicago at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge presented by Under Armour.
Chicago will not be his last stop with several college coaches hot on his trail and plans to graduate early.

"I'm trying to take some unofficial visits to colleges because I'm graduating in December," Godchaux said. "So I'm going to try and take a lot of unofficial visits and all of my official visits.
"I want to take one to Florida, Florida State, Texas, Texas A&M, and probably USC. Those are the five I know for sure right now…and probably Ole Miss."
When does he plan to take those visits?
"I know USC I'm probably going like (July) 17-20 I'll be out in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Florida I'm going to try and squeeze in this Saturday. Florida State will probably be sometime in July."
Godchaux also mentioned stopping by to check out UCLA while out in California, as well as a stop by LSU.
The Tigers have yet to extend an offer, but they have let him know they like what they have seen.
"They told me to come to camp for like one or two days," Godchaux said. "Coach (Corey) Raymond told my coach that they're going to offer me but just come to camp for one or two days. They already know I can play but just come to camp."
He has begun to narrow down his list and with plans to graduate early he has hopes of making a decision before the season.
"I'll probably make my decision after the summer, but I'm not sure yet," Godchaux said.
Even if he does make an early decision he hopes to take all five of his official visits.
