Gnat narrowing things down

Jacksonville (Fla.) Wolfson defensive end Rodney Gnat blew up at the Tallahassee NIKE camp in May and hasn't looked back. He's picked up three offers and is drawing interest from many others.
"I still have the same offers, Louisville, Connecticut and Central Florida, but several teams have started recruiting me harder lately," Gnat said. "Minnesota, Cincinnati and Tennessee have been sending a lot of handwritten letters and stuff lately. There are a lot of other schools that just send regular mail."

The 6-foot-4, 224-pound Gnat attended the Tallahassee NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.67 seconds, the shuttle in 4.19 seconds and posted a 28-inch vertical jump.
"Louisville, Central Florida, Tennessee, NC State and Maryland would be my top five right now, but I'm open to pretty much everyone still," Gnat said. "Louisville and Central Florida are my top two probably. Louisville is a top program and they have a great criminal justice program. Central Florida is up and coming and they have one of the criminal justice programs in the country."
As a junior Gnat played somewhat out of position but still managed to rack up 30 tackles and 10 sacks.
"I don't really want to get too far away from home if I can help it," Gnat said. "I would like to stay in the South at least. I am looking for a coaching staff that really teaches their players well and how that blends with their system. I think Louisville is one of the best at that and that is one of the big reasons why I like them so much."
In addition to the NIKE camp Gnat attended camps at Florida, Clemson, Florida State and Central Florida over the summer.
"I am going to try and take my visits during the early part of the season," Gnat said. "I'm really starting to narrow things down a good bit and will be ready to decide after I can take a few official visits."
