Glaud visits MD

Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township athlete Ka'lial Glaud made an official visit to Maryland over the weekend. Rivals caught up with the 6-foot-2, 217-pounder to find out more about his trip to College Park.
"It was really cool," he said. "I got there on Friday with my aunt," he said. "They had 18 other recruits there. When I was there I went to meetings, attended a basketball game and hung out with my host and the players at night."

Glaud was hosted on the trip by Antwine Perez.
"I knew him before the visit," he said. "It was cool. He showed me around and we got a chance to talk about the school. I knew he'd be real with me. The one thing that stuck out was how important he said it was to be close to home. He went to Southern Cal and he said it was nice to be close to home because if you need something you can get there whenever you want to."
On Saturday, Glaud talked to more staff.
"I met with the athletic director, had meetings with people including the coaches," he said. "Then they took us to the ESPNZone and we played games a bit."
Before heading out on Sunday, the three-star prospect met with Ralph Friedgen.
"It was cool," he said. "My aunt and I got a chance to talk to him. The main question I asked him was about a time frame on committing to the school.
"He let me know that they'll wait until Signing Day for me. That was a relief to know."
What is next for Glaud?
"I am planning to go to North Carolina on January 9th and then Rutgers on January 23rd," he said. "There is a chance I may switch those out with other schools instead. I'm not sure yet. I have to talk to my uncle."
