Glasper sets trips

Four star corner Willie Glasper (6-0, 183, 4.34) from Concord (Calif.) De La Salle is getting to know what his former teammate and now Fresno State frosh Damian Jenkins felt like a season ago. Like Jenkins last season, Glasper is about as busy as a Maytag repairman.
“I don’t have a pick this season,” Glasper said. “No one is throwing my way.”

“At the most I have only had six passes thrown at my way all year,” Glasper said. “Even Evangel Christian didn’t throw my way.”
“When a team does throw my way it is nothing but hitches way in front of me,” Glasper said. “Nothing is thrown near me.”
Glasper has played cornerback, safety and running back this season.
On the defensive side of the ball, Glasper has approximately 40 tackles. As a running back, Glasper has 14 rushing touchdowns but he wasn’t sure of his rushing yards.
“Some schools want me to play corner and others want me to play safety,” Glasper said. “Some have even asked me if I want to play running back. I tell them no about running back and tell them that I prefer corner.”
Glasper has offers from the likes of Cal, Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Nebraska.
“I have committed a visit to ASU but the date hasn’t been confirmed yet,” Glasper said. “I will visit Washington on December 12th and Oregon January 9th.”
“I am keeping my options open for the last two visits,” Glasper said. “I want to see if any other schools offer, if not, I will choose a college out of the group that has offered me a scholarship.”
Glasper and his De La Salle teammates will hook up with Pittsburg, Calif., this coming Friday Evening.
Pittsburg has an outstanding team this season and incidentally Pittsburg was the last team to beat De La Salle 146 games ago.
