Position: Cornerback/Running Back
Size and Speed: Glasper stands 6-foot-0, weighs 185 pounds and runs the 40 in 4.5. He benches 275 and squats 405.
Honors: Glasper was selected all-state, all-metro and all-league for his junior season performance.
Statistics: Glasper accounted for 65 tackles and picked off eight passes as a junior.
Favorite Colleges: Glasper is drawing interest from Texas, Florida State, Michigan, UCLA, USC, Washington, and Oregon.
Skinny: Glasper is another player from the Spartan roster who will be highly sought after this recruiting season. He is very aggressive and has an excellent break on the ball. Simply put, Glasper is your prototypical lockdown cover corner. He is also very good in run support. Glasper is a known hitter and is a sure tackler. He didn’t miss very many tackling opportunities as a junior.
“They kind of challenged me because they didn’t want to throw to Damian’s (Jenkins) side,” Glasper said.
Obviously Glasper made the opposition pay. Besides his eight interceptions, Glasper also recorded numerous pass break-ups last season.
What is Glasper looking for in a school?
“I’m looking for a college that has a prestigious academic reputation,” Glasper said. “Another consideration is I want to play for a program that is concerned about winning. Location won’t play a part in my decision.”
Who were the toughest players that Glasper lined up against last season?
“Derrick Jones (Long Beach-Poly) or Sam Cheatham (San Leandro),” Glasper said. “Cheatham was very quick and ran good routes. Jones is fast and he’s very good receiver. He is also a deep threat.”
Do you ever worry about being on the team that loses the streak?
“No,” Glasper said. “We just work very hard in the off season so that losing doesn’t occur.”
The De La Salle Spartans haven’t lost in 138 games. That’s a lot of hard work.
