Glades Central OL likes five

Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central offensive tackle Ernest McCoy has scholarship offers from a number of schools and an early top five.
"There is no leader," McCoy said. "My top five right now would be Miami (Fla.), Florida, West Virginia, LSU and South Carolina."

All of those schools, along with Boston College, Pittsburgh, Auburn, Florida State and others have offered the 6-foot-5, 340-pounder, except for the Gamecocks, who are relative newcomers to McCoy's recruitment.
"I like my recruiter from South Carolina (Gamecocks running backs coach Robert Gillespie," McCoy said. "He seems cool. Plus, I've always pictured myself at South Carolina for some reason."
The Hurricanes and Gators, who sit atop McCoy's list, have ace recruiters Mario Cristobal and John Holliday on his trail.
McCoy is hoping to meet with coaches from West Virginia and LSU in the near future.
"My coach told me (West Virginia) should be by to see me around May 1," McCoy said. "He just told me that LSU offered me. I am interested in learning more about them."
McCoy added that he hasn't had that much time to think about recruiting because he has been involved with his school's track team.
"I just got out of our region track meet," he said. "I didn't throw well enough to advance to the state, so I start spring football (Thursday)."
McCoy expects to stay busy this summer.
"I haven't visited any colleges yet, but I plan to," he said. "Our coach has a lot of stuff planned this summer."
McCoy feels that he has a lot to offer whichever program he ends up at.
"I overpower people with my size," he said. "I also have good footwork and stay out of trouble."
He currently has no timetable for a decision.
"I don't know when I will decide," he said. "Whenever I get the feeling that that's where I want to go, that's when I will decide."
