Givers names favorites

Recruiting has taken a backseat for Hampton (Va.) Phoebus linebacker Landon Givers. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder is currently focused on helping his team win the Division 5 title this week.
"Our team is doing really good, we're 12-1 and play Edison on Saturday," he said. "We've got one more game to win. I can say I've been very impressed with my own play. I believe my sack total is up to 13 or so. I can't even guess how many tackles I've got probably somewhere around 90 or more."

As far as recruiting is going, plenty of schools are taking an interest in the two-star prospect.
"Not a lot has changed, I am getting mail from Louisville, West Virginia, Memphis and a few others," he said. "Mostly they are calling coach Dee and from what I know nobody else is mentioning offers at this time.
"I do have about five or six right now and I am starting to think about visits. I believe I'll probably go to Middle Tennessee, Maryland and North Carolina State for trips. Those three are my favorites. I really like them because of their defenses and the way they fly to the ball."
