Givers is on the verge of more offers

Linebacker Landon Givers holds a handful of offers from Miami (Ohio), Kent, Akron and Middle Tennessee. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder believes a few bigger schools could come calling in the coming months.
"South Carolina and Maryland continue to send me a lot of mail," he said. "Maryland sends me about two letters a day in the mail, but South Carolina has talked a bit about a possible offer and they continue to say they really want me to become a Gamecock."

In recent weeks, Givers visited Middle Tennessee State.
"The trip there was really nice," he said. "They showed me around campus and I met the new staff. The coaches talked to me about being a starter there as a freshman and that was good to hear."
The visits don't look to be ending for the two-star prospect soon.
"I'm probably going to end up heading to Maryland in the next few weeks and then possibly to North Carolina State," he said. "I just want to see what those two schools have to offer."
At the moment three schools are leading for Givers services.
"I really like Middle Tennessee, North Carolina State and Maryland," he said. "Those three I like because they all have been talking to me. I was very impressed with my trip to Tennessee. As for Maryland, I've been talking to coach Brattan a lot and then NC State is a powerhouse team with a dominant defense."
Givers hopes to get a decision out of the way early in the season.
"I'd probably like to wait until at least the beginning or a little later, but we'll have to see."
Givers earned all-district and region honors after registering 100 tackles and 15 sacks as a junior.
