Givens has a change of heart
Killeen, Texas athlete Columbus Givens had made his pledge to one in-state school but today that all changed.
The two-star rated prospect has given his verbal commitment to SMU.

"I've committed to SMU now," Givens said. "I called them up this morning and told them I'm coming. It's a lot closer to home so now my mom can come see me play."
Givens attributed his soft verbal to UTEP because of distance. That problem appears to be solved.
"When I committed to UTEP, it was just too far away for me and my mom couldn't come out to watch," Givens said. "It's exciting knowing I'll be close to home and everything."
Givens said that honesty is the one main reason that he changed his pledge.
"It's a solid commitment," he said. "They said I can come in and play quarterback until I prove I can't. They've been truthful with me from the beginning and that was big."
