Givens adds even more offers

Chillicothe, Ohio, receiver Chris Givens already has a good list of scholarship offers to pick from, so it's no surprise that things have been really busy around his school and on his phone during the spring evaluation period.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder already has scholarship offers from Akron, Miami of Ohio, Kent State, Ohio and Cincinnati. He lists his top six teams as Cincinnati, Miami, Akron, Michigan State, Indiana and West Virginia.

He has plenty of good things about most of the schools on his list.
"Akron is a great school I like the fact that they are champions and they won the MAC," he said. "I am really interested on how they have improved as a football program and a school. Miami has a lot of what I am looking for. They throw the ball a lot, academics that are up there, and that is a place I feel I can start in a couple years and get my education."
He was really excited about the interest that Indiana and West Virginia has been showing him.
"West Virginia is one the schools that have surprised me over the year, I have just been watching them," he said. "They are getting the best recruiting classes and are active in getting the best recruits. The program is up there and they are one of the elite programs now. They are talking about offering, just wanting to get the ok from the head coach. They want me to get down to the camp. And just be able to evaluate me as a person and player. "
"Everyone tells me Indiana is on the rise. I like coach Terry Hoeppner because of his ties to Miami."
Ohio and Cincinnati also got good reviews.
"Ohio doesn't throw as much and that discourages me, but I still think they are a great team," Givens said. "They have good academic programs, and I have had several friends that have gone there. They are also close to my home and I have a lot of ties to Ohio.
"Cincinnati is a good program that is also on the rise. The coaches there are hard workers and are going to turn that program around."
