Girtman solid this time

Houston Memorial defensive tackle Brad Girtman was one a Sooner. But now he's a Cowboy.
Roxi Girtman, Brad's mother, confirmed that her son gave Oklahoma State coach Les Miles a commitment last night when the Cowboy coaches were in his home for a visit.

"Oklahoma walked out the door and then Oklahoma State walked in," Girtman said. "I think he just decided it was time to get it over with. So he told them he was coming."
Girtman said her son's decision to commit to OSU, instead of sticking with an earlier pledge to Oklahoma, was based up a number of factors.
"I think he just got along with the players so much better," she said. "It felt right for him. Plus, I've always had a soft spot for them. They were the first team to recruit him hard before all the others did."
Girtman is supposed to visit LSU, Florida and Nebraska, but it looks like those visits are not going to happen.
"The Nebraska one is definitely out," she said. "He called and told them no. Florida called tonight and was begging for him to still come out there this weekend and LSU was asking for him to still come on January 31.
"I told Brad to go spend some time with his friends and then we'll call the other schools tomorrow."
Girtman, a four-star prospect, was the Houston Touchdown Club's defensive player of the year.
