Gipson going to Eugene

Aaron Gipson, the four-star cornerback from Fontana (Calif.) Etiwanda, was supposed to visit Oregon this past weekend. Why didn’t he make it to Eugene?
“I had to take the (SAT) test,” Gipson explained. “The coaches said that that was a good idea, so they set me up to visit this coming weekend. I’m supposed to leave to go up to Oregon on Friday.”

Gipson has long been considered an Oregon lean, but that doesn’t mean he’s not listening to other schools, too.
Gipson has one other visit lined up. He’s set to visit Kansas on Jan. 11.
“They kept their coach that was recruiting me,” Gipson said. “I like how they talk about things, so I’m interested in taking that visit.”
Wisconsin has also offered him a scholarship.
Gipson, who also plays wide receiver and returns punts and kicks, is looking for an opportunity to also play basketball in college. He is considered one of California’s top prep point guards. But he will sign a football letter of intent.
