Gilmore talks USC, Notre Dame

Prior to the Los Angeles NIKE Camp last weekend, Malik Gilmore attended USC's spring practice on Saturday and said he was thoroughly impressed with the Trojans and the workout.
USC has just started to talk seriously with Gilmore, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound wide receiver from Lakewood, Calif., who was one of the top players at his position at the NIKE Camp on Sunday.

He said although the Trojans' coaching staff has not talked at length about an offer yet he's highly interested and would love to stay in contact with coach Lane Kiffin and his assistants.
"USC is a great program," Gilmore said.
"They're solid. They have fantastic competition out there. We just started talking so we haven't gotten to the level yet talking about an offer but they said they're really interested and they're looking to see more of me."
Gilmore is prepping for a junior day visit to Notre Dame next weekend and it could be big because the Irish have already offered and he has high interest in the program.
Regular talks with assistant coach Mike Denbrock has kept Notre Dame in the picture so going to see South Bend will be crucial moving forward.
"I can't wait," Gilmore said. "I hear it's going to be amazing. I've been talking to coach Denbrock and we're going to see how that works out."
So far, Gilmore has picked up offers from Arizona State, Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame, San Diego State, Utah and Washington. Many other schools from the Pac-10, SEC and other conferences are also showing interest.
Gilmore finished with 28 catches for 463 yards and six touchdowns in his junior season.
