Gilmore is an Owl

Citra (Fla.) North Marion running back Jamie Gilmore pledged his services to a school during a recent weekend official visit, but he wanted to wait until National Signing Day to make it public.
"I am going to Temple," Gilmore said.

For the Sunshine State three-star running back, the decision was made for him during his visit.
"When I went up there it just felt like a good fit for me," Gilmore said.
The 5-foot-8, 185-pounder talked about a few reasons why he opted for the Owls.
"Coach (Steve) Addazio and everybody is telling me that they think they are going to make the transition to the Big East," Gilmore said. "I just really think it is a good fit with playing time and things like that. I also think it is a good place for me with regards to being in a big city and the major I am trying to go after."
Gilmore feels that the school offers a great opportunity when it comes to academics.
"I plan to major in business and I really think with them being in a big city will benefit me," Gilmore said. "They have a big school of business on campus. That really attracted me."
Temple won out for Gilmore's services over Western Kentucky. He admits he is going to the Philadelphia-based program with a bit of a chip on his shoulder.
"I go there knowing that I should be a top recruit," Gilmore said. "I know that going in knowing that I am happy with my choice because I love Temple and I love the city."
