Gil a Florida OL to watch

Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson is year in and year out one of the most visited stops for recruiters and a player that people will look out for in the Class of 2005 will be Tampa Jefferson offensive guard Frank Gil.
Gil, who is 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds, said he’s aggressive, strong and a very good pass blocker.

“I’m a good guard and over the summer, I’m going to get bigger and be ready for the upcoming season and college,” Gil said. “I’m very good at pass protection and I believe I’m also a good run blocker. I just want to get better.”
His athletic talent, which includes a 300-pound bench-press and a 400-pound squat, is already getting regular mail from Florida, USF, Nebraska and North Carolina. He said he grew up watching USF and Florida while growing up and plans on camping at Florida.
“I’m going to look at the academics of the school,” Gil, who has a 3.0 grade-point average, said. “I also want to see what type of offense they run and the opportunity to play early will be things I look at.”
