Rivals250 linebacker Thaddeus Gibson out of Euclid, Ohio is gearing up to take his first official visit of the recruiting season this weekend to Ann Arbor. What is the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder with 4.5-second speed looking to see as the Wolverines host Ohio State?
"The only thing I'm looking for is a great game on my visit," he said. "I can't wait to get down there and check it out. I'm really excited."
Currently, Gibson has one other official scheduled with Tennessee on December 2nd. The four-star prospect believes he knows two others he'll be visiting as well.
"I'm in the process of setting up December visits to Iowa and Ohio State too," he said. "My outside linebacker coach was coached by one of Iowa's current coaches. Plus Iowa is just a great school and coach O'Keefe is a really great guy. As for Ohio, me being an Ohio Boy I've got to check them out. I get letters from them every day even on holidays and they've even come to see some of my games."
Gibson has no idea who he's considering for a fifth official.
The Panthers finished their season a couple weeks back in a tough 46-0 loss to Ohio power, Glenville.
"Glenville is a mob squad and that was a tough game," he said. "At least we won our division championship so I'm happy about that and we made it to the playoffs. We at least achieved some of our goals this year.
"This season I definitely saw a big improvement in my game. I feel I really improved on my tackling and sniffing out draw plays. The last couple of years have really stepped up my game tremendously and I'm ready for the next level."
