When asked if the Wolverines are still in the running, Gibson said, "Kind of, sort of.
"Ohio State and Tennessee are still my favorites. I'll decide sometime next week.
"Tennessee was here Wednesday. (Ohio State assistant) Coach Beckman is coming to my basketball game (tonight). I think coach Tressel is coming here next Tuesday night if I'm not mistaken."
There has been much speculation regarding Gibson and whether or not he will qualify academically. However Gibson is very confident.
"I'm making great progress with my test," he said. "I'll get it done."
The 6-foot-3 and 205-pound Gibson had 14 sacks during his senior season. He is the No. 9 outside linebacker in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 6 prospect in the state of Ohio.
