Ghee to decide in October

Fayetteville (N.C.) Jack Britt defensive back Brandon Ghee named a top five of Clemson, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest back in August. With a possible decision coming as early as the end of this month, has anything changed for the 6-foot-0, 165-pound cornerback.
“Right now, I’m looking to see how many official visits I want to take and possibly sliding my timeline for deciding back a little bit,” explained Ghee. “I’ve visited all of my favorites unofficially over the summer, so I’m not sure where I will visit, if at all. I think I’ll still have a decision made by early October at the latest.”

Ghee has helped his team get off to a solid start by winning their first two games of the season over Pine Forest and Cape Fear.
“We’ve been playing well so far. We’ve got a big game this weekend against E.E. Smith,” admitted Ghee. “I’ve had a good start to the year returning one interception for a touchdown and recovering two fumbles.”
With the contact period under way, Ghee has been busy talking with coaches at a number of his favorites as well as a few other local schools on the outside looking in.
“Coaches from Virginia Tech, Clemson, Duke, and Wake Forest have been in contact with me,” said Ghee. “Mostly, we’ve been talking a lot about the early season for both me at the high school level and how the college teams are preparing for the season.”
Ghee got a good look at one of his top five schools as Virginia Tech took on Southern Cal last weekend.
“I watched the whole game and thought Tech played very well,” stated Ghee. “I liked the aggressive style of play I saw in the defense especially. It was a good hard fought game.”
Ghee still plans to take in a couple of early season games hopefully before reaching a decision.
