Ghee ready to narrow list

Fayetteville (N.C.) Jack Britt cornerback Brandon Ghee has one more unofficial visit to take before he begins to narrow his list.
"I go to Wake Forest next weekend and that will be the last unofficial," said the 6-foot-0, 165-pound cornerback. "I want to narrow things down to two or, at the most, three teams to take official visits to. I want to decide by my third game of the season if possible."

Right now the contenders are North Carolina, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Tennessee, Clemson, Duke and Wake Forest. All seven schools have offered. Is there a leader?
"Not yet," he said. "I have an idea of which schools I like better than others, but I don't want to eliminate anyone before I see Wake. Then I'll cut my list down."
Ghee, who had 50 tackles and five interceptions last season, followed a few schools growing up.
"Florida State was always my favorite, but they're not recruiting me," he said. "I also liked Wake and UNC, but that won't really be a factor."
How about a teammate on one of his favorites?
"I'm pretty tight with George Bell who will be a freshman at Virginia Tech," he said. "I talk to him here and there and he says he likes it there. Knowing someone isn't a huge deal, but hearing good things about a school never hurts."
Ghee is ranked as the No. 14 player in North Carolina by Rivals.com.
