Gettis still sitting on three offers

We checked out the Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey- Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne last weekend and were excited about the chance to watch Don receiver David Gettis up close and personal.
Gettis, 6-3, 185 pounds definitely passes the eyeball test. He's tall with a muscular build, not skinny, and just looks like a player. Unfortunately for Gettis, it appears it will be tough for him to put up real big numbers this year as the Dons quarterback struggled and what was surprising to us, often didn't even look at Gettis in passing situations.

In all, we saw three balls thrown towards Gettis. Two of those were overthrown by about 10 yards and the other ball he caught for about a one yard gain. Judging by the outcome, a 21-7 loss (Dorsey entered as the No. 1 team in the city), perhaps he should be more of a focal point in the offense.
On the recruiting front, Gettis said he still sitting on the same three offers he had prior to the contact period.
"Arizona State, Washington and Arizona have offered," Gettis said on Friday. "I haven't set up any trips yet but I'm pretty sure I'll visit ASU and Washington. I also like LSU a lot because of their track program and would like to visit there. USC and UCLA are high on my list but I can just take an unofficial visit since it's so close to home. I was at UCLA's game last weekend with Oklahoma State and plan on attending USC's game with Colorado State (USC won 49-0) tomorrow."
Gettis won the state 400m championship for the second straight year as a junior and will definitely run track in college. At this point, Gettis looks like more of a track guy on the football field but does have a nice upside because of his size and speed.
