Geralds straightens list out

Baton Rouge (La.) Scotlandville offensive guard/defensive tackle Daverin Geralds has seen interest pick up in recent weeks and may have a new offer coming down the pipe soon.
"I have written offers from Duke, Stanford and Ole Miss," Geralds said. "LSU told me a while back that they were going to offer but I haven't seen anything in writing yet. Georgia Tech sent me a handwritten letter and told me to call them. I called and they asked if I was interested and I told them I was, they told me that if I sent film that they would probably offer."

The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Geralds runs the 40-yard dash in 5.25 seconds and projects as either an offensive guard or center or defensive tackle on the next level.
"My top schools are Stanford, Duke, UCLA, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Georgia Tech and LSU," Geralds said. "I plan on taking some of my official visits before I commit. I will take some of my visits early probably and then decide mid-season sometime probably."
Geralds is ranked as the No. 35 player in the state of Louisiana.
"I would like to be able to have the chance early wherever I go," Geralds said. "I will look at the academic programs that each school offers and see how they rank in my major. Distance is really not a big factor for me."
The question remains on whether Geralds will play offense or defense on the college level.
"I prefer to play defensive line a little bit more, but I would play on the offensive side of the ball if I needed to," Geralds said. "I just want to the opportunity to play early wherever I go and whatever position I end up at."
