Georgias Top RB

Ask someone who the top running back in Georgia is this year and you might get four different answers. However, the name you’ll likely hear the most is Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson star Kregg Lumpkin and he has the offers to prove it.
“I’m not sure how many offers Kregg has received, but it’s quite a few,” said Kregg’s father Tony. “Kregg has offers from all of the schools he seems interested in right now.”

Those schools are Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Miami, Florida State, Nebraska and Penn State. Rumors had been swirling that Lumpkin might make an early commitment to Georgia.
“He might commit early, but he hasn’t mentioned anything about a specific team,” Tony said. “I don’t think any one team stands out right now, but Kregg is somewhat quiet about it all.”
Lumpkin, a 6-foot, 195-pounder who ran for 2,088 yards and 29 touchdowns as a junior, is looking for something specific in a college.
“He wants to major in computer science in college and choose a school that is close to home,” said his father. “Since the NIKE Camp, a lot of schools have shown interest so he’ll have a tough decision.”
Lumpkin ran a 4.4-second 40-yard dash at NIKE and was one of the most impressive players on the field.
