Armand Cauthen.
The Douglas County standout has reeled in 10
official scholarship offers -- Louisville, Vanderbilt, Duke, Wake Forest,
UAB, Ohio, East Carolina, South Florida, Kansas and Middle Tennessee -- and
is currently in the process of whittling that list down to five for official
visits.
"Nothing is final yet," said Cauthen, "but it looks
like Vandy and Duke are likely. I'll probably go to Louisville and Ohio,
too. I like those four schools a lot.
"Coach (Travis) Jones from Kansas called me today.
They're staying in touch, trying to set something up with me. Ohio came to
our house last week, and the head coach (Brian Knorr) came back by the
school today with the running backs coach. They seem to really like me a
lot.
"Coach (Aubrey) Hill from Duke will be by the house
sometime next week."
Cauthen (6-1, 195, 4.6) caught 40 passes for 641
yards and nine touchdowns as a senior at Douglas County. He also averaged 28
yards per kickoff return, 42 yards as a punter, and intercepted one pass on
defense.
