Georgia WR likes N.C. State, Auburn

Newnan, Ga., receiver Derrell Steagall has quietly began to move up the recruiting charts in some coaches minds and he’s now sitting with two scholarship offers to prove it.
“I have offers from Southern Miss and Tennessee-Chattanooga,” Steagall, who is 6-foot-1, 185 pounds and has been clocked at 4.5-seconds in the 40-yard dash, said. “But my top two are Auburn and N.C. State. They have been sending me a lot of letters and think that they might offer me with a good senior season.”

And Steagall plans on not only having a good senior season, but intends on having a great one.
“I want to catch about 40 to 50 passes and get 10 touchdowns,” he said. “Last year on had three of them, so I’m really chomping at the bit to get out there and show people.”
Steagall, a two-star prospect according to Rivals.com, said he’s really improved his speed and strength and can tell that he’s better on the practice field.
“I’m a lot better at this point than I was last year,” he said. “I’m bigger, faster and stronger.”
