Georgia WR Could Leave State

Douglasville (Ga.) Chapel Hill wide receiver Bill Grimes wants to play his college football in the southeast, but it might not be in his home state.
"Right now I favor Maryland," said the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder. "They are really turning that program around and I like their offense."

The Terps are the only school to offer Grimes, but that could be changing soon. He has serious interest from South Carolina, Florida, Miami and Georgia as well as others.
"I'm going to camp at Maryland and South Carolina," he said. "I'd like to decide before my senior season starts."
Grimes, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, has some talented relatives that will attest to some impressive genealogy.
"My cousins are Charles Frederick (Washington) and Willis Ham (South Carolina)," he said. "We play football in this family."
