Georgia TE Tommy Tremble has five key visits lined up for June

There will be little down time for tight end Tommy Tremble. The 6-foot-4, 225 pound playmaker just transferred to Norcross (Ga.) Wesleyan and he is about to visit three schools this weekend before heading north the next couple of weeks for two more visits.

After seeing coaches almost daily the last few weeks and adding close to 10 offers during the spring evaluation period, it will be a busy first few weeks of the summer for Tremble.

"I started workouts at Wesleyan Wednesday, then I am visiting Georgia Friday, Duke Saturday and Alabama Sunday," said Tremble. "I will just visit Georgia, but I will camp at Duke and I will probably just hangout at Alabama Sunday. After those visits, I will go up to Notre Dame June 10-11 and then take a trip to Tennessee June 17.

"I know it is a lot, but I need to get out and see these places and take these visits. It will tell me and show me a lot."

Visits will play a major role in Tremble's decision. If he sees enough this summer, a decision could come by the end of August.

"At first, I was thinking I would commit during the summer, but I know I have to give myself time and I have to get around and the see different schools. I am really not sure yet, when I will commit, but at the least, later in the summer I do want to cut my list down.

"I still could commit if I get to enough places and figure it all out, but I may end up waiting until the fall to make the decision."

There is one of the five schools Tremble is set to visit soon that has yet to offer him. That is Alabama. The Crimson Tide appear to be close to making that happen though.

"I don't want to get my hopes up too high, so I am keeping low expectations, but I really think an offer is possible," said Tremble. "They are not asking me to camp or anything, they just want me to come over, for me to bring my family and they just want us on campus this weekend.

"We have been texting like I do with other schools, so they are showing interest and they want us to visit, so we will see how it goes."

If the Crimson Tide does offer, it will immediately push them up Tremble's list. He views Alabama as one of the best teams in the country and he would be very interested in them.

For those that know Tremble and his family, academics are first and foremost for them. He is taking a long look at numerous Ivy league schools because of that, but a Power 5 school that is not far from that is Duke. He has had an offer from the Blue Devils for some time now and he is ready to visit Durham (N.C.) for the first time.

"I have wanted to see Duke for a while so I am glad I finally get to visit this weekend. They have a lot to offer as far as the education goes and that is very high for me and my family. Coach [Jim] Bridge (tight ends) is very interested in me, so I like that and I am ready to sit down and talk with more too."

Notre Dame is another school Tremble has yet to visit. He plans to spend a couple of days in South Bend (Ind.) soon and he is looking forward to that.

"When I think about Notre Dame, I think of more of that old-school type of school and I really want to check it out. I really want to see it all up there. I want to see the history, take it all in and just enjoy the experience there. Meeting with the coaches and learning about their academics will be a big part of the visit, but I really want to see it all."

For Georgia and Tennessee, they have both had him on campus already this year. Tremble obviously likes both because he is going back.

"I have already been to Tennessee two times and I love the coaches up there," said Tremble. "It is an amazing program, the coaches are always in contact with me and it is just a great feeling up there. Coach [Larry] Scott (offensive coordinator) and head coach Butch Jones text me almost every day, so they are showing me a lot of attention.

"With Georgia, with my dad (Greg Tremble) playing there, I have been going there since I was little, so I know a lot about them. I talk to coach [Shane] Beamer (tight ends) a lot like I talk to coach Jones and coach Scott at Tennessee — almost daily. Coach Beamer is laid back, I like him and I have always been a Georgia fan, so it is a school I like a lot."

Tremble is ready to get out, see as many schools as he can this summer and he will constantly be looking for two things as he evaluates school. These two things will play a big role in his decision down the road.

"It will come down to academics and how I feel around the coaches," said Tremble. "That is what I am looking to learn and see everywhere I go. Those are the top two things I am looking for in a school. That is why visits are so important. It is hard to learn about those things unless you are there on campus."
