Georgia TE ready to audition for BC

When Class of 2016 Loganville (Ga.) Grayson tight end Ryan Carrierre picked up his first scholarship offer last month, it's safe to say it was a big day in his household.
"It was exciting," Carrierre said when he learned of his first offer, courtesy of Charlotte. "My mom cried the first time so it was really exciting. They're a new program, I haven't visited but I'm planning to get up there soon."

Several other schools, including Minnesota and Boston College are also showing interest in Carrierre and he's hoping he can earn an offer from the Eagles with a good showing this weekend.
"I'm going up to Boston College this weekend," he said. "They have offered a lot of my teammates and I think they're going to give me a shot to earn an offer in camp."
Carrierre has a special connection to the Boston area, making his hopes for an offer a little different than some of the other schools that are close to pulling the trigger.
"I'm from up there so it would be nice to get one," he said. "That is one I would like. My whole extended family lives up there so it would be cool to be able to play in front of them in college."
