Georgia star heading to paradise

Gainesville (Ga.) East Hall wide receiver Marquez Jackson is taking a different road from most kids who play football in the state of Georgia. Georgia is one of the top states in the country for producing talent and almost every team in the country has at least one Georgia kid on their roster, except for one, that is until now.
"I committed to Hawaii a couple of weeks ago on my official visit," Jackson said. "I had a few offers in basketball like Mercer, but wanted to play football and Hawaii offered a great opportunity. They want me to play wide receiver."

The 5-foot-8, 141-pound Jackson attended the NIKE camp in Atlanta where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.81 seconds and 4.14 second shuttle. He also boasts an impressive 32-inch vertical jump.
"I took my visit out there on the 14 of January and my family may be going out there with me, I'm not sure," Jackson said. "I may walk on and play basketball, they told me I could if I wanted so that is something I'm looking into."
As a senior he caught 52 passes for 842 yards for seven touchdowns. He also returned four punts and three kickoffs for touchdowns.
