Georgia sleeper off to a good start

Lincolnton (Ga.) Lincoln County defensive tackle Alex Wideman is a prospect that is starting to create a buzz as he has been absolutely dominate so far during his senior season.
“I still don’t have any offers, but I am getting a lot of attention right now,” Wideman said. “I am hearing a lot from Oklahoma, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama and Georgia. I am just going to keep playing hard and try to earn some offers.”

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Wideman runs the 40-yard dash in 5.1 seconds, has a bench press of 325 pounds and a squat of 450 pounds.
“Right now I would say that Georgia and Auburn are my top two schools,” Wideman said. “I am also looking at Oklahoma, Tennessee and Alabama. I went to Georgia’s camp this summer and I had a really good time while I was there.”
So far in two games this season Wideman has collected 20 tackles, six tackles for loss and two sacks.
“I am looking for a school that has good academics as well as a good football program,” Wideman said. “I am just waiting for that first school to step up and offer me a full ride. I would like to play early in my career, but right now I just want the opportunity to play period.”
