Georgia sleeper DT likes four

Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside defensive tackle Reginald Thomas is starting to narrow his focus to four schools he’d like to make official visits to later this year.
“Ole Miss, Louisville, Auburn and Minnesota are the main ones,” he said. “Those are my top choices. Ole Miss, Louisville and Minnesota have offered. Auburn hasn’t offered yet, but they’re still calling a lot. They told me they still have their eye on me. They would be up there pretty high if they offered me.”

Thomas (6-1, 285, 4.9) will have his eye on the Tigers next weekend as he makes an unofficial visit to Auburn’s game at Georgia. The following weekend, he’ll be at Ole Miss for the Rebels’ showdown with LSU.
“Ole Miss is probably recruiting me harder than anyone… them and Louisville,” he said. “I really like Ole Miss. They’re having a great season. I like their coaches a lot. They put a lot of emphasis on me as a complete person – education and football. They seem to really care about that. My family likes that, too.”
Thomas has helped lead Creekside to a 6-3 record heading into the final game of the regular season. He’s recorded 59 tackles, seven tackles for loss and five sacks.
Academically, he maintains a 2.9 GPA and has scored an 820 on the SAT. He projects as a full-qualifier already, but says he’ll take the test again in an effort to reach 900 or 1000.
“I want to do it for my satisfaction,” he said. “I know I can do better.”
