Georgia sleeper beginning to receive interest

Last year Southern Miss stole one of the top prospects in Georgia in Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern running back C.J. Barrows. They also picked up a solid linebacker prospect from the same school in Gerald McRath. In the class of 2005 McEachern has three prospects, could the Eagles snag another prospect from one of the Peach State’s largest schools?
Defensive end Clinton Hester, who projects as a linebacker on the next level, is a sleeper who is beginning to pick up interest from some big time programs.

“I have been getting letters from Southern Miss, Notre Dame and Penn State,” said Hester.
The 6-foot-2, 205 pound Hester, who runs the 40 yard dash in 4.7 seconds, has a 270 pound bench press and 380 pound squat.
“I got invited to spring games at Southern Miss and Notre Dame. I went to Southern Miss, but I wasn’t able to go to Notre Dame. I liked the trip, they are definitely an option if they want me.”
As a junior he registered 44 tackles, four sacks and two tackles for loss.
“My top schools are Georgia, Penn State, Ohio State, Miami, Southern Miss and Notre Dame. I don’t really have any favorites, I just want to play somewhere so I haven’t ruled anyone out.”
He plans to attend several camps throughout the summer months.
“The first thing that I’m going to be looking at is academics. Facilities are also something that is important to me. I just want to see how the athletic program is at each school that I’m interested in.”
