Georgia safety making his own name

Kenny Irons isn't the only standout at Dacula, Ga., that's because safety O.C. Collins is stepping up with his own impressive list of schools.
"I have a written offer from Louisville, and Auburn and Kentucky have offered me on the phone," Collins, a 6-foot, 175-pound safety with 4.5-second speed in the 40-yard dash.

"Actually, the Auburn coaches also offered me in person. They're right up there near the top with Georgia and probably Georgia Tech."
Collins said UGA and Tech haven't offered him yet, but they have been recruiting him pretty consistently.
"Georgia said they need safeties like me," Collins said. "But we'll see if they step up an offer. I don't know at this point."
What we do know is that Collins has the tools to be a solid prospect.
"I've got around 40 tackles, and I've picked off two passes," Collins said. "I even blocked a punt."
