Georgia safety likes Duke, Tech

Atlanta The Marist School plays some of the top football in the state of Georgia and one of the reasons why its been successful this season has been because of the play of 6-foot, 180-pound safety Chris Davis.
Davis, who has two interceptions on the season but will move to cornerback for the playoff run, already has scholarship offers on the table from Duke and Georgia Tech.

“I would say those are the two best right now on my list,” Davis said. “I’m going to visit Duke on January 9, and I’m working on a date with Georgia Tech. They’re both really great schools academically, and you can’t beat that they’re up-and-coming in the ACC. They’re teams that aren’t afraid to play young guys, and that’s also something I’m looking at really hard.”
Davis said he’s also getting calls from Northwestern and Georgia Southern.
Marist is off this week, but will begin the Georgia state playoffs in two weeks. After a loss to St. Pius last week, Davis said he and his teammates will be ready.
“We just had a bad game,” he said. “Hopefully we’ve gotten that out of our system.”
