Georgia safety has SEC interest

Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry safety Brynden Trawick has interest from several Southeastern Conference programs during the early part of the Class of 2008 recruiting cycle, but still is waiting on his first scholarship offer.
"I don't have any offers right now," he said. "But I have interest from Florida, Auburn and South Carolina."

The 6-foot-2, 206-pound Trawick, who ran a confirmed 4.51-second 40-yard dash at the Atlanta NIKE Combine in February, attended Auburn's Junior Day this past weekend.
"It was pretty good," he said. "I got there a little late. I enjoyed myself. I've been there before and the campus is nice. They have great facilities. I liked the academic area. They have an academic Hall of Fame in their museum. They said they needed to see some more game film before they offer me a scholarship."
Trawick traveled to Gainesville, Fla., to check out the defending national champion Florida Gators in February.
"That was good, too," he said. "They said the same thing. I need to get them some more game film."
South Carolina also is showing interest and Trawick said he plans to check out the Gamecocks soon.
"I've been getting interest from South Carolina," he said. "My recruiter is (defensive coordinator) Tyrone Nix. I am going to go to their Junior Day next month. I was supposed to go last week, but I had something that I had to do with school."
Trawick plans to attend the Rivals.com Junior Day at Lovejoy High School in Metro Atlanta next Saturday. The event starts at noon.
