Georgia receiver still likes Florida

For Americus (Ga.) High wide receiver Brandon Gooden, the early season was rough.
He tore his ACL in the season’s first game and has had to start a long rehabilitation assignment after surgery.

“For me the season hasn’t been going good. I got hurt,” Gooden said. “I tore my ACL. It was like I ran a deep ball and the quarterback overthrew the ball. I tried to jump in front of the defender and I came down wrong. I already had the surgery and am rehabbing it now, though.”
Still, despite his health troubles, Gooden has been talking to some schools that have kept in touch with him.
“I still talk to schools,” he said. “Middle Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Marshall, they’re still recruiting me. Florida stands out to me. That’s the one I want to go to. I have always been a Florida fan, a fan of the Gators. Always.”
The loyal UF backer expected to go to last Saturday’s Florida-LSU game, but had to miss it because of family issues. Still, he plans to attend the next game in Gainesville and has future plans for visits at Florida.
“I’ll take an official visit there for sure,” he said.
