Georgia RB talks ECU commitment

Duluth, Ga. running back Kennard Reeves committed to East Carolina on Tuesday over interest from Boston College, Vanderbilt and others. What made the 6-foot-0, 181-pounder choose the Pirates?
"I felt really comfortable with the coaches I met on my visit," he said. "They were all really classy guys and I could tell they are looking out for my best interest. I visited the campus last week for an official visit and it looks like a place I can and do what I need to do. I also like that they run the same style of offense my high school does, the shotgun spread attack.

"On my visit, I was really impressed by the $13 million weight room and nice stadium they had. They have a real strong fan base too. Everywhere you go you see Pirates stuff and the fans are loyal because when they weren't winning they still packed the stadium."
Reeves is relieved to have the decision behind him.
"I feel good because it gives me a little bit of security," he said. "Now I can focus on run tracking for my high school team and continuously working out after Christmas to get bigger and faster."
The two-star prospect has a chance to acquire playing time as soon as he gets to East Carolina.
"They use all their running backs and they said I could come in and play as a freshman if I'm ready or if they need me to I can redshirt too," he said. "Either way is good for me as I know I have a good chance of competing."
This season Reeves accounted for 1,020 yards of offense and 12 touchdowns for Duluth.
